A Simple Trick to Make Mornings a Little Easier


A great morning starts with a good night's rest. Lately, I have found myself hitting the snooze button one too many times, which has made me feel groggy and slow as I've gotten up to start my day. Coffee wasn't helping and I was going to bed at a decent hour, but I still felt like there was something I could change that would help make the morning a little easier. After taking a look at my nightly routine, I discovered that I spent a lot of time on my phone/computer/iPad before falling asleep and that on the nights I did, I felt more sluggish in the morning than on day's that I read at night instead. So my new nightly trick: unplug! It sounds a lot more simple than it actually is but I'm making a conscious effort to turn off my computer, stop watching Netflix (right before bed), and to put my phone on the nightstand instead of scrolling through Instagram and picking up a book instead! So here's to having an easier morning and fewer cups of coffee!
